All Titan types in Attack On Titan

Titan (Japanese Name: 巨人 Kyojin) are the main antagonists in the Attack on Titan Anime series. They first appeared 107 years ago (according to the context of the manga/Anime), shaped like humans and destroyed humanity to the point of near extinction. However, in reality, the Titans were transformed from people who are said to be “Ymir” and appeared more than 2000 years ago.

The form of the Titans

Titans have the same body structure as humans: two arms, two legs, and other sets (except for the genitals). The body parts are all larger or smaller proportions than humans (big head atrophied ass or long limbs), with muscles and huge body tens of meters. The special thing is that they don’t wear anything, they also have no skin, revealing red muscles. Most Titans have a male form.

The common identifying feature of the Titans is their very wide mouth with sparse square teeth. Some particular Titans also have fangs. The Titans use their teeth to eat humans. Because they do not have a complete digestive system, they often have to vomit if they want to continue eating.

One thing that is quite illogical about Titan is that, despite having a huge body, extremely strong, active, giving off a lot of heat, it seems that they do not need to eat. They only go cannibals because they… like to do it. Titans also do not communicate with each other much, howling is the main thing. They also don’t seem to need to breathe.

Titan seems to be capable of generating its own energy for daily use. More precisely, they get their energy from the sun (like photosynthetic plants). Therefore, the Titans are only active during the day, at night they will rest, some children will be comatose, some children will become docile and less aggressive. However, this is only true for normal Titans; Nine Titan Shifters, Titans controlled by Zeke Yeager or the Ancestral Titan, do not need sunlight to move and function.

In addition to size, speed, strength and sheer numbers, Titan possesses another terrible ability: can regenerate lost organs in seconds or minutes, limbs are trivial, even flying head can also grow back. Depending on the severity of the wound, Titan takes a little or a long time to heal. The only way to kill them is to cut them in the back of the neck to cut off the communication from the brain to the lower body parts. Their carcasses quickly evaporated and then left behind a giant skeleton, which eventually evaporated without a trace.

The Titans do not seem to know pain, they can take serious injuries such as loss of arms, slashes without harm, immediately recovering that part. Once in battle, the Titans only focused on eating the humans in their sight, sometimes dying without knowing it.

Wisdom of the Titans

Most of the Titans are usually brainless, inanimate, large and strong, but easily trapped. Scouts take advantage of this weakness to easily destroy them. But the Nine Titan Shifters are inherently controlled by humans, so they have the same feelings and thoughts as humans. These Titans have the ability to form thoughts and even communicate with humans. Although most Titans do not normally communicate with each other, they seem to be related to each other, able to “understand teammates” or follow the Titan Shifters’ commands.

The Origin of Titan in Attack On Titan

The Titans are inherently human. It is not yet known how the first Titans appeared. People can transform into Titan after being injected with a shot of the Titan Serum, triggering their transformation from their human form to their Titan form. The time between injection and conversion is very short, although not instantaneous.

It is only known that more than 1800 years ago, Ymir Fritz discovered and came into contact with the “origin of organic beings” or made a contract with the devil, thereby obtaining the power of Titan. Thanks to this huge power, the ancients were able to reclaim land, build citadels and roads. After her death, her powers were divided and inherited by nine people, representing the Nine Titan Shifters.

These Nine Titan Shifters then invaded the nation of Marley and established the Eldia Empire. They became the aristocracy that ruled this land, between them there was a constant war. House Fritz overpowers other races using the power of the ancestral Titan.

However, about 1700 years later, the 145th King Fritz, the successor to the First Titan, was overthrown by the Marleys. He and many other Eldian subjects fled to the island of Paradis. There, he used the Guardian Titan to build massive protective walls around his territory. As for Marley, they exiled the remaining Eldians here by turning them into Titans and wandering beyond the walls.

Prominent Titan

This is the most common and most abundant type of Titan, with a height ranging from 2-15 meters. Titans generally look pretty much like humans, except for physical deformities; some walk on 2 legs, some walk on 4 legs and have no intelligence, thoughts or feelings. However, they still possess great power, hunting people to eat meat, so they are also extremely dangerous.
